The Resident Manager reports to the property management company and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the property, overseeing the physical maintenance and upkeep of the property, performing various administrative and clerical tasks, maintaining positive resident relations and adhering to all applicable governmental rules and regulations. Part of the compensation package includes a rent-free apartment on-site.
Collect rent and serve delinquency notices when necessary
Advertise vacancies, track inquiries, interview potential residents , & show units
Prepare lease agreements
Ensure proper tenant auto registration & Renter’s Insurance
Maintain efficient office filing systems
Walk property daily
Supervise the maintenance staff and oversee work order request process
Monitor completed work of maintenance team as well as outside vendors
Conduct semi-annual interior inspections of residents’ units
Communicate regularly with the property management company, Housing Authority Program, Fair Housing, and all local, state, and federal laws
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in computer skills (specifically MS Word, Outlook, and Excel)
Ability to work independently, prioritize duties, meet deadlines, and work as a team member
Superior organizational skills with the ability to handle detailed paperwork in a thorough & complete manner
Valid CA driver’s license & proof of personal auto liability insurance
Customer service oriented
Highly motivated with a positive attitude
Previous experience with Yardi Rent Café software program
Previous experience managing multi unit properties
