Currently, we are looking for an Asset Manager to oversee our growing portfolio of multifamily communities. Existing portfolio includes properties that operate under the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program and other affordable programs, in addition to market rate, conventional properties.
The Asset Manager will be an integral member of the Lloyd Jones Capital team, responsible for each property’s compliance with its individual business plan. Asset manager studies economic and industry trends to recommend strategies pertaining to refinancing, repositioning, and hold terms. The Asset Manager works closely with the operations team to create maximum value for each asset.
Understand property business plans, partnership agreements and regulatory agreements
Recommend strategies for maximizing value of each asset.
Provide direction to operations teams
Conduct periodic site visits
Review budgets, financial statements to ensure adherence to business plans
Evaluate and monitor capital expenditures
Oversee the preparation of cash flow projections
Confirm investor distributions
Participate in investor and lender conference calls
Serve as key contact regarding compliance, approval and reporting matters.
Manage insurance and litigation matters relating to investment assets
Interact with third party entities as needed
Create processes and reports to assist senior management in evaluating asset performance
In essence, Asset Manager represents the owner in the oversight of each asset.
Undergraduate degree from top academic institution, ideally in accounting
Knowledge of affordable housing programs, especially LIHTC.
Strong knowledge of real estate, finance and accounting
5+ years of relevant experience at senior level
Willingness to travel for site visits and acquisition due diligence
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment and/or independently
Strong organizational skills and a proven self-starter
Compensation and Benefits
The Asset Manager will be compensated with a base salary and also participate in a discretionary bonus pool, the rewards of which are contingent on individual and firm-wide performance.
