The ideal candidate understands property management and is energetic, engaging, and driven. The ability to communicate well is essential, as the Real Estate Administrator will frequently engage with residents, business partners, and team members regarding a wide variety of issues. The ideal candidate will work well in a fast-paced environment, and will be a self-starter with strong organizational skills. While the Real Estate Administrator does not need to be an expert in every operational topic, this person must be able to learn quickly, comprehend and discuss various matters related to property management.
Assist with maintaining the Yardi operational environment, and work frequently within the system
Provide excellent customer service to residents and business partners
Communicate clearly and effectively with internal team, customers, residents, and business partners
Provide leasing assistance during periods of high leasing activity and/or to augment coverage
Assist with the development of reports and analyses
Assist with collections, renewals, work orders, turnover, invoice processing, payments, and other property management activities
Provide effective assistance with all other matters as directed by the Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager

Strong interpersonal and communication skills: verbal, listening and written
Strong organizational skills, both electronically and paper

Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing, environment.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year university strongly preferred
Experience in real estate administration or another professional administrative role preferred
Must be willing and able to acquire an Illinois Real Estate Leasing license within 90 days after commencement of employment
Proficient in the operation of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to work a flexible schedule including many weekends and some evenings

Occasional carrying and lifting of 15 pounds to perform various office duties as assigned
Occasional immediate reaching to perform various office duties as assigned
