Georgetown University's Office of Planning & Facilities Management 's mission is to ensure the quality of Georgetown University's physical environment supports the University's excellence in teaching, research, and campus life. The Real Estate Office manages the University's portfolio of off-campus space in Washington, DC and around the world.
The Real Estate Associate position leads the management of the University's on and off campus leased space, including academic, administrative and residential space. Leased properties range from large multi-purpose office buildings to residential townhouses and condominiums. Duties include but are not limited to:
Strategic acquisition of properties by coordinating with all clients, including faculty, staff and students.
Engages in all aspects of day-to-day operations of these properties, including, collection of rents, accounting, marketing, tenant relations, maintenance, repair, security and services.
Handles tenant complaints, service requests, and material and service contract requisitions, and must be familiar with the terms of the University's leases and occupancy agreements.
Assists in the preparation and execution of the annual budget, metrics, and reporting and financial performance of the properties.
Five or more years of directly relevant commercial real estate property management experience
Strong working knowledge or Microsoft Office Suite required specifically, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Exceptional communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Customer service experience
Experience in lease administration is a prerequisite
