Responsible for assuring that the space rented by the University is managed and maintained in a manner consistent with University-owned facilities. Support all tenants & departments occupying leased facilities. Ensure all maintenance work is completed in a timely manner. Maintain landlord and tenant relations. Identify renovations and improvements to University-owned facilities. Assist in the development and management of annual budget for leased properties. Supervise daily work of co-ops. Sound knowledge of the budget process in terms of building maintenance and property management, as well as a strong understanding of the leasing process is required. Ability to establish relationships and credibility with all constituencies – students, residential life, facilities, landlords, tenants, trades, vendors, and staff. Must be able to work independently, balance competing priorities, meet tight deadlines and work extended hours as needed. Adaptability, reliability, organizational, and leadership skills, as well as supervisory experience are essential. 24 hour on call required.
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a business related field, or minimum five years’ experience in a real estate management role. Experience in a university setting is desired. Working knowledge of lease management. Must be proficient in various Windows based programs. Must work well independently and be able to convey ideas articulately. Leadership skills are essential. Must be able to handle many competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, make informed decisions and work extended hours as needed. Must be a skilled communicator and team player who can work effectively with many diverse groups, including University administrators, staff, faculty students and parents. Knowledge of Banner and FMCore is a plus.
