Asset/Property Management, Low Income Housing Tax Credit
Position: The organization is seeking a Property Manager to manage a new affordable senior rental property in West Dundee, Illinois and an existing affordable building in McHenry County. The manager will be solely responsible for running the building including resident certification and ongoing operations.
Basic Functions: This position is responsible for all property management tasks for multiple affordable rental properties including compliance with IHDA and LIHTC requirements.
Residential property management of a 62 unit LIHTC senior building and other rental property
Manage the leasing process from application to move-in to recertification to move-out
Maintain waiting lists and contact applicants
Qualify and select tenants for occupancy
Ensure compliance with LIHTC Section 42, Project-based Section 8, HUD and IHDA
Recertify tenants annually and conduct unit inspections
Resolve tenant issues and link tenants with service agencies and resources as needed
Build relationships with tenants, neighbors, and community groups
Supervise maintenance personnel
5 years experience managing affordable rental properties including LIHTC
Experience with IHDA & HUD reporting, HAP and EIV
Highly personable and able to work with people from diverse backgrounds
Energetic and creative in approach
Highly motivated and dependable; ability to work independently and take initiative
Excellent organizational, analytical and listening skills
Proficient in OneSite
Ability to work evenings and weekends
