ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Under the supervision of the Senior Leadership team comprised of President, Senior Vice President, In House Counsel and Chief Financial Officer, this position is responsible for supporting the organizations strategic goals, mission and values by developing and implementing policies & procedures as it relates to the operational function. Administration of business practices to create the highest level of efficiencies possible within the organization. Business development and growth.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: • Works closely with all departments to promote culture of high performance • Risk Management • Staff Development • Plan and coordinate the annual budget process, assist and review monthly variance reporting • Assist with HR and Payroll functions • Implement appropriate systems of policies and internal controls
PREFERRED SKILLS • Excellent writing and communication skills • Excellent leadership skills • Knowledge of Payroll Processing Systems • Knowledge of IT Systems • Knowledge of Insurance (property, corporate, benefits, etc.) • Prior Real Estate Industry Exposure Preferred Demonstrated ability to interact successfully with all levels within a company • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, team player • Ability to adapt to changes in structures and work priorities • Intermediate to Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and AMSI
Must have demonstrated previous management and knowledge of Property Management and Accounting functions.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting • 7+ years prior accounting/finance experience in a senior management role • CPA, CPM, or CMA preferred • Ability to understand and negotiate contracts/leases/insurance • Experience with IT interface • Team Player, ability to lead and supervise regional managers with all corporate portfolio/third party management directly reporting to VP.
