The County of Riverside's Facilities Management department has multiple opportunities for Senior Real Property Agents in their Real Estate Division. These positions will be focused on leasing, acquisitions, project management, and tenant improvements. Incumbents will also provide lead oversight and mentorship to two Real Property Agents and are expected to perform the most difficult and specialized real property work which will include negotiating complex acquisitions, lease agreements, and right of way agreements. Other duties will include: providing technical direction and training as well as assigning and reviewing work.
The Senior Real Property Agent is the advanced journey and lead level class in the Real Property Agent series. The Senior Real Property Agent class is distinguished from the Supervising Real Property Agent in that the latter is responsible for full scope supervision of Real Property Agents. Promotion to Supervising Real Property Agent is achieved through the competitive recruitment process.
The department desires candidates who are customer focused and can build great customer relationships as well as those who have the ability to communicate effectively in a team environment.
Meet the Team! Riverside County Department ofFacilities Management provides property management and operations services for county owned and leased facilities throughout the 7,200 square miles of Riverside County and over 14 million square feet of space. The department is responsible for keeping county buildings safe, comfortable and productive for both county staff and the public.
Education: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's Degree, preferably with major coursework in economics, business or public administration, or a closely related field. (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on the basis of one year of full-time experience equaling 30 semester or 45 quarter units of education.)
Experience: Three years of experience in the appraisal and negotiation for the acquisition of real property and rights-of-way, or negotiation, preparation, and management of complex leasing agreements and facility space utilization and allocation management. (In some departments general experience in real estate sales and transfers will not be considered as the equivalent of the required real property appraisal and negotiation experience.)
