Chief Building Maintenance Engineer

American National is seeking a Chief Building Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The Chief Engineer is responsible for ensuring smooth functioning building maintenance from a variety components. Oversight of the operation and maintenance of building systems such as HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process controls and property equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop and train staff.
• Responsible for implementation and management of the preventative maintenance program.
• Assist with the budget of maintenance and new equipment.
• Maintain detailed inspections of equipment, licenses and keep records for property audits.
• Oversee construction projects including scope, pricing, implementation and finishing.
• Serve as primary contact for fire, flood and major emergencies, including the oversight of the storm preparation process.
• Manage the utilization of power and other utilities to achieve cost effective operations.
• Responsible for after-hours response; back up for call outs by other on-call staff.
• Maintain proper business communication with internal clients, vendors and contractors.
• Perform all other business related duties as required.
