Data Onboarding Specialist:

The Data Onboarding Specialist is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with data providers in all three regions, US, Europe and Asia; ensuring that the new data sources are properly integrated and aligned with the organization's data strategy and architecture; and for collaborating with other stakeholders, such as client managers and data analysts, to ensure successful data onboardings and operations.

Responsibilities of a Data Onboarding Specialist may include:

• Identifying the data needed: Determine what information is needed for analysis or reporting and what sources within the data provider’s system contain that data. Collecting data from property management systems involves requesting the property manager to send information from various sources within the system. This typically includes data such as units, leases, tenants and lease charges, and financial transactions.
• Requirements gathering: Work with the data providers to understand their business processes, conducting discovery sessions, system configuration, training, and support as well as ensuring best practices are incorporated.
• Data collection: Collect data from various sources, such as property managers, other vendors or clients using the property management system's APIs or data export functions to extract the needed data. Assist the data providers with preparing for data migration.
• Data documentation: Document the data onboarding process and maintain records of the data sources, mapping, and validation activities.
• Stakeholder management: Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, such as client managers, business analysts, and data engineering teams, to ensure that the data onboarding process meets their needs and expectations.
• Training and support: Provide training and support to the data providers, ensuring that they can effectively use VmX platform to meet their business needs.
• Continuous improvement: Continuously assess the data onboarding process and identify opportunities for improvement to make it more efficient and effective.

The ideal candidate for a Data Onboarding Specialist role must have

• 3-5 years of experience in implementing property management software like MRI and Yardi.
• Good understanding of the real estate and property management industry. Focus on commercial real estate is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in accounting, business, finance, or related area of expertise.

The candidate should be technically savvy with strong project management skills, excellent communication, and collaboration skills. They should also have experience working with cross-functional teams and be comfortable working with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.
